19/12/2019 Font Vella Lanzarote International Marathon
Once again, the 29th Font Vella Lanzarote International Marathon was a success. Success of participation and success of organization, from Papagayo Bike we want to thank the organizers for letting us collaborate in this great sport event of Lanzarote.

“…Thanks to Sands Beach Active for relying on us…”

As every year, the Font Vella Lanzarote International Marathon has its celebration right in front of the Sands Beach Resort, a four star resort with private beach and access to the sea. We could consider that the Sands Beach Resort, besides the traditional accommodation facilities, becomes during the dates that this great sport event of Lanzarote is celebrated, the meeting point of almost all the sportsmen who come from outside Lanzarote, thanks to its high quality sport facilities, the participants take advantage and do not lose the opportunity to continue their training.

With an average temperature of almost 23ºC, this year the 29th International Marathon of Lanzarote has passed through its already classic route, running along the great coastal avenue of the island of Lanzarote, covering the municipalities of Costa Teguise, Arrecife, San Bartolomé and Puerto del Carmen.

In this 2019 edition, about 2800 participants crossed the finish line located next to the Sands Beach Resort. From very early on one could feel the good sports atmosphere that this event organized by  Sands Beach Active and the Servicio Insular de Deportes del Cabildo de Lanzarote transmits.
