All about our bike rental service in Lanzarote.

Find here the answers to the most frequently asked questions that many of our cycling friends who want to rent one of our bikes usually ask us. If you don't find the answer to your questions, you can send us an email and we will be happy to answer all your questions.

  • You must fill in the contact form without forgetting any mandatory fields. If you have any questions, please indicate them in the comments field.
  • When we receive your email, the system will automatically reply to confirm receipt of your email. Our responsible will contact you as soon as possible, confirming the availability and the total amount of the rental.
  • The payment of both the rental and the deposit (20,50, 100 or 200 euros depending on the type of bicycle) will be paid at the time of delivery of the bicycle. The deposit* must be paid in cash or by credit card (not by phone or watch) and the rental payment can be made by credit card or cash.
  • The deposit is returned in cash or unblocked on the credit card at the end of the rental period.
  • Yes, we do. The place and time of delivery must be established in the booking process. Depending on the distance and the number of bicycles contracted, costs may be applied.
  • The rental is charged for the current day. Irrespective of the time of delivery of the bike. The bike can be returned to the shop on the same day as the end of the contract during working hours or the following morning at 9.30 am at the latest. Hotel deliveries are arranged during the booking process, and collection is arranged directly with our staff at the time of delivery for your convenience.
  • This is not a 24 hour service.
  • Yes, as long as you let us know in advance and the rented bike model is available.
  • You will be able to pick up your rental bike just before we close the shop. You can see our opening hours here.
  • You need your passport or ID card. Pay the rental by card or cash and pay the deposit in cash or by credit card, not by phone or watch (20, 50, 100 or 200 euros).
  • We can provide you with flat pedals, SHIMANO SPD MTB, SPD-SL and LOOK KEO free of charge, but you must let us know in advance. You can also bring your own pedals, saddle or accessories. We will be happy to help you mount your accessories on our rental bike.
  • Helmets are also available for rent.
  • At Papagayo Bike Lanzarote we are aware of the importance of having good material. That is why we work with relevant brands in the world of cycling and we renew our fleet regularly.
  • You will find a high quality and up to date product. Our bicycles are subjected to a strict mechanical control. The proper functioning of its mechanics and the conservation of its components is essential for us.
  • We will show you the condition of the bike at the time of delivery. We recommend you to be attentive during this process, as you are responsible for any damage that may occur during the rental period.
  • The fact that the bike is dirty should not be a problem when you hand it in. On the contrary, it is a sign that you have enjoyed your bike. Cleaning is included in the rental price.
  • It is strictly forbidden to ride along the beach or to wet the bike with salt water.
  • As for the frame and its components, the bicycle must be returned in the same condition as it was delivered.

*Deposit: When renting one of our bicycles, we ask for an amount of 20, 50, 100 or 200 euros per bicycle (depending on the range) to cover any possible damage that may occur (scratches on the frame, broken components, loss of accessories, etc.).
