The 3rd annual swim event of the TRAVESIA BAHÍA PLAYA BLANCA was held on saturday the 16th of July at 17:00. This year we had a record number of participants, over 200, including the childrens category. The adults swim distance of 1500 meters started in the Rubicon Marina and finished in the main beach in the centre of Playa Blanca. The childrens distances where 400 and 150 meters from the main town beach.
On the day there was a slight current the whole way, so this made for a challenging swim, however some participants decided 1500 meters was not enough and decided to swim past the finish line before completing the race!
It was a great afternoon with the presentations, food and music going on for a few hours on the promenade.
A big thank you to all the participants, both on and off shore, all the volunteers and sponsors that worked so hard to make this event a sucess, Restaurante Brisa Marina, Vulcano Club de Trialtón, Marina Rubicon, Papagayo Bike and SPA Hesperia
