Each year, a group of 70 Win4Youth Ambassadors are selected to face a sports challenge, the ambassadors come from different countries, and different brands within the Adecco Group, different sports backgrounds and different positions within the company; A great team that form the Adecco Group family.
On Saturday, October 26, after 5 months of training, 73 man and woman from all over the world from the Adecco Group Win4Youth program challenged themselves to complete a full Olympic triathlon.
We would like to thank all the athletes, and especially the Win4Youth program of the Adecco Group for trusting us. It was a great challenge for us to have all the bicycles ready. In total more than 120 special road bikes for the Triathlon, a great job by our technicians.
It should be noted that in the tent that we set up at the event, promoting the other great competition we organize, La Travesía Museo Atlántico, we were accompanied by the great Belgian cyclist Jonas Van de Steene, winner of a bronze medal at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio.
Nearly 700 participants went out to compete in a test where the absence of wind in Puerto del Carmen was linked to very different wind conditions in the cycling sector, to the calima, to the humidity sensation and some gust of rain to give as a result a very complicated, competitive, hard and different test.
The last to leave were the first to reach the finish. It was the group of participants of the Super Sprint category, who faced 400 meters of swimming, 10 kilometers of bicycle and 2.5 kilometers running. Before left the Olympic category with 1.5 kilometers swimming, 45 kilometers biking and 10 kilometers running, while the first, and last to arrive, were participants of the half triathlon, with 1,9 kilometers swimming, 90 kilometers by bicycle and 21 kilometers running.
The step-by-step start allowed the arrival to be almost joint, intermingling athletes of all categories, ages and conditions, with Puerto del Carmen having an impressive sport life throughout the morning and part of the afternoon.

On Saturday At 9:00, the X Ocean Lava Win4Youth Lanzarote Triathlon was launched with the start of the swimming segment for the triathletes who faced the Half Distance.
